Peeptoes everywhere, office appropriate year round?

I am sooo tempted by peep toes, but are they the new 'pump'? Are they office appropriate year round, like the pump is?

I think it depends on how conservative your office is. In an ad agency, i'd say Yes. In a buttoned-up insurance agency, I'd say No.

At my business casual job (human resources for a large university), peeptoes and sandals are fine, as long as your toes/feet are well groomed. My sister works at an intellectual property law firm and dressy peeptoes are fine there too, even among the female partners. However, women lawyers there only wear more open sandals to work on very hot days when they won't have any client contact.

Hi Jayne

First IMO peep toes are not the new pump. I've had peep toe pumps for a few years now & I adore them. I work in the financial industry & wore them to work one day & was immediately told they were inappropriate. So for me, not for the office & they look silly with hose.

If an open toed shoe is ok in general, then yes on the peep toe. Every workplace is different so you have to look around I guess.
I have a hard time finding comfortable peep toes that don't cut around the toes

Like others have said, I think it depends on your office. More casual or creative environments will more than likely be ok while very conservative ones won't be.

I wish I could wear peeptoes to work...
sorry if this is gross or too much information: its jsut absurdly funny to me at times: as healthcare workers must wear 'closed' foot wear at all times in the uS atleast incase someone err..... throws up on them or worse!!!

(but then who is going to replace my shoes??)

I work at a large international law firm (in San Diego), and I wear peeptoes year round. I find it amusing that a gorgeous dressy shoe would be considered inappropriate because it "peeped" a little toe, but I guess there are very conservative industries/offices.

totally appropriate...i love them with opaque tights when it gets colder to extend their wear season...especially for the one pair of black peeptoe booties which look silly in the height of summer.

But I agree with Christinneanne, there are many that cut into the toes, so I will tread carefully into this ....
