This afternoon and evening Vicki and I volunteered to work at an Oscar fundraising event for our local animal shelter. We were supposed to wear black pants and white tops (yawn) so that we could easily be distinguished as the "help" and not guests, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. So here we are on a break from our rigorous duties of having to sit in a separate room from the event and *watch the Oscars and keep track of the winners! Seriously! That was our job! Needless to say - it was a blast! Vicki wore a darling ivory brocade type jacket with black pants that had lace on the bottom and I wore a light gray metallic cardigan with slouchy black trousers. We both wore our pointy toe ankle boots and our feet were very happy. A very fun and worthwhile way to celebrate Oscar day!
