Paul Green Jano Boot?

Does anyone have these? Are they comfy? Any pics of them in action?

I'm having such a hard time finding a grey boot. The Clarks Water Row is a good color, but the toe shape doesn't work for me.

Hmmm ... looking at them, I think the Jano might have the same toe shape as the Water Row, which won't work for me. I can't wear anything that has a snub nose toe.

I'm also not sure about the Shar Pei effect of the pleats.

Grrrr ....

I agree with you on the Shar Pei effect. I have a great pair of grey B.O.C. Jennifer booties, but I can't seem to find grey online anymore.

Aren't the Jano the boots sarah got? I'll search a little to see if I can find her thread.

I have the Water Row and am rather surprised everytime I put them on how rounded they are. . . !

I don't think the Jano are nearly as rounded as the Water Row, but the aerial shot looks a bit more pointed than, for instance, the Frye Carson.

MNSara - I can not wear the Water Row! They bother my toes! I was so surprised, because Clarks are my go-to brand for my fussy feet. Oh well.

I will listen to Big Bossy Angie and try the Jano.

Why can't Frye make my beloved Taylor Short in grey? I love that boot sooooo much.

I have been looking for some gray booties also. I liked the pleated ones that Angie referred at Aerosoles but I don't like their shipping and return policy. The Frye Taylors would be pretty sweet in gray!

I have the Paul Green Jano in gray, and I LOVE them. All I have to do is put them on, and I feel fab. They are high enough to feel special, but not high enough to push toes forward. My foot measures 7C, and for me the 4.5 fit perfectly. I can wear them with tights or thin socks.
Okay, maybe this is the time when I need to get out the camera and figure out the whole taking-and-posting-photos thing? Aack. Not sure I can do it.

I have these in grey, actually. Be aware that they run slightly large. I've found that even though they're comfortable on, there doesn't seem to be a lot of padding under the ball of the foot, so if you're going to be doing a lot of standing/walking, you might want to add a padded insole or some foot petals. That said, I LOVE them, and even wear with skirts/tights.

Tara - everyone's already done my homework for me. I have them, and I think they're pretty comfy, although the heel is a touch high for me, which makes them a 3 or 4 hour shoe (and an office shoe) for me, rather than an 8 hour shoe. They are really cute, and I especially like them with straight legs. Here are a couple of shots with them with my straights.

I love thse boots and they are really comfy. Maybe because they run a little large you could try your usual size and there might be more space in the toe bed for your feet?
