Patterned bottoms? A big neon sign? ETA longer length pic

These are a really high contrast plaid, especially for my size. I'm not sure of them so I would appreciate your input! My friends liked them and encouraged me to bring them home.

The length is actually longer so I have turned them under for these pictures.

IF they are keepers, do either of these lengths work? Not sure if the black sandals are too much going on too.

Love, love, love! I'm not good at lengths, because I never see stumpifiying, but if I had to choose, I'd go short for summer. YLF!

I think both lengths work. And they look great on you, the fit looks very good. If you want to go more trendy, do the shorter version. If you want more classic, I would do .5 to 1" longer than what you're showing.

I LOVE them !!!!!!! Do they stand out ? Yes. Are they neon, screechy ? No !!!! I think that I prefer longer like coco lion suggested. That seems a bit more sophisticated casual, if that makes sense. But I think that you cannot go wrong here !!!!

I like the shorter length. I don't mind the longer length, but I am an outlier here on YLF since PPL is not one of my personal issues.

I both like the semi-tuck and untucked top. I think the untucked top would work with a hip length jacket -- such as a demin jacket.

I echo what CocoLion said on the length, though I think you'd want to go a smidge higher for the short version. Personally I prefer the longer length (which could then be rolled, but of course that makes them instantly more casual so may not work for work), but if these are primarily summer pants and your summers are warmer then shorter may get more use. The print I love, which I'm sure comes as no surprise

Those are fantastic! I love the way you paired them with the bright pink too. SO cute. I think they would be a fun addition to a summer wardrobe. I like the longer length but really, could go either way. Keep!

@CocoLion, thanks so much for sharing your logic behind the length options.

@Isabel, now that you have stepped out with red jeans and light shoes - maybe plaid should be your next jump!

@Dustt, that is a good suggestion. You would think nearly everyone has a pair of low vamp black shoes. I, of course, do not!

@Karie and @Aida, you both came to mind when I spotted the plaid. I don't work, so casualizing them with a roll is not an issue.

@JenA, I tried a different pair of floral chiffon-like crazy pants on today too, but the pleats just didn't work on me. I almost texted you

@Marmee, @Janet, @Rachylou and @Kellygirl - I appreciate your collective thumbs up. Now to make a decision on the length I think I may just leave them as is for now. We're going out of town for a couple of days so I may give them a whirl for that.

Haha! Great idea to test these out on the road. I like testing those a little OTT outfits on vacation--where I don't have to worry about running into someone I know! Those pants are awesome though. You have nothing to fret about!

I like the pattern and the fit. I am not sure about the shorter length here: I would shorten them even higher that that, I am afraid this is not the most flattering length on you. Can you try them a bit shorter for a comparison?

These are amazing pants on you and look fantastic! I agree with Sveta -- time to play a bit more with the length before you decide for certain on that. But they look amazing with these gorgeous berry tops!

Love those plaid pants!
Both pant lengths work. I like the untucked top in #5 but I think that a top with sleeves balances your body shape better.
The caged sandals are great! I second dustt's suggestion of low black flats (with a pointed toe) for a smarter look!

Now seeing them where both legs are longer, I prefer them shorter. I think they are more summery and the effect is actually more subdued because there's not quite as much print to take in. You wear cropped lengths so well Pil, you have very long legs so it's an ideal silhouette on you.
