That pattern screams "look right here"......in places where, well, you know...after all we are not all trying to emulate Madonna's stage costumes Aside from the "inappropriateness" it's not very flattering.
What makes it worse, for me, is that the lower part of the design doesn't even appear to be quite centered. Which makes me keep looking there longer! It's not just you.
(whispers: I think it's cute and playful in a modern birth-of-venus sort of way. definitely for someone comfortable with their body and their sexuality.)
Heh. Definitely not just you. I've seen so many instances in the stores of unfortunate pattern placement. I tried on a top that just happened to have two circular portions of pattern placed right on top of my boobs. Uh, no.
Ah, dear, this is another reminder that I have turned the corner and developed the old person opinions I hoped to avoid. Yes, I'm aghast, but if I were 20, I'd probably be wearing this with intent. (Anyone recall those suede Brazilian cut bikinis in the 80s? Mine had fringe in dubious places, and the only part of it that made me uncomfortable was wearing suede on a hot beach and not being able to cool off in the sea.)
