Pattern mixing part 2

I returned the bombshelly round shouldered striped top and bought a new one in #2 and #3. Does it look better? It feels better but I think I need to return it for a looser fit.

#1 is what I wore shopping today...a peek of animal print with narrow stripes (skirt from Kmart), Levis shirt, Lulu Guiness scarf, Sam Edelman shoes which I love for the comfort factor

#2 same skirt from yesterday with new top. Black wedges bought OS.

#3 skirt I bought in Paris last year with same new top. Halogen flats

#4 same skirt as 2 with lace top from Sussan (which I love). Crocs wedges.

I can't quite get passed #3. Stunning. Like I said on your other post, I really love tonal pattern mixing and this is just divine. And don't Kmart do good tube skirts? I have one from two seasons ago that is a wide black and white stripe:)

Thank you Deborah. I'm really happy with #3 too. It's been a difficult skirt to wear because nothing seemed to go with it...but maybe that's the thing, I shouldn't be looking for things that match it. I want to wear it more because it reminds me of the good things about Paris. Every day i would look out the windows of our little 3rd floor apartment and see it in the window of a boutique across the road. It took several days before I ventured into the store but I'm so glad I did. The SAs were lovely and the skirt was a bargain!

As for Kmart, honestly, I have been so impressed with their tube skirts.

Oh my God... #3 is like a dreaaaaaam! You look SUPER STUNNING!
I love all these looks, but my heart is so so set on the skirts in #2 & #3... I'm also very intrigued by the top in #4, it looks great ☺

They are all fab! You are the queen of patterns, you mix them really well.
I think this striped top fits you much better than the previous one.

3 is AMAZING.
I like the fit of the striped top. Especially for 3, I think you really want the top to be fitted. It doesn't look tight; does it feel tight? I'm afraid it might lose the impact if it is loose. I'd vote for keeping this size unless it is uncomfortable. Looks fantastic in both 2 and 3.

Your pattern mixing is truly an inspiration. And I love your little scarf in 1. It's reminding me of a favorite thin chiffon scarf I have tucked away somewhere -- time to pull it out!

Thank you Joyce and viva. The top doesn't feel tight but I don't like the way it shows every bra bump at the back. I think going up a size would relieve that a little but still keep the fitted look.

They are all lovely examples of pattern mixing. I particularly gravitate to #4 and may see if I can use it as inspiration since I have a similar top in white. The pattern in #3 is lovely and pretty with the subtle floral. I hope you are able to wear it more after experimenting.

I re-read your first thread and suspect we have similar body shapes (square shoulders, short waist, hourglass) but you are smaller and slimmer. I am going to watch your WIW to get ideas.

I love all of them! I guess I should check out Kmart's tube skirts. I'm still on the lookout for a pretty floral a-line skirt; yours is gorgeous!

#1 is more like my style. Awesome combo, leopard and stripes go great with denim. And the scarf really puts everything together. I see the same outfit, but instead of the striped skirt maybe a leather or a suede skirt. That'd be pretty cool too.

#3 is also classy and chic.:)
