pattern mixing: floral neutral jeans.

I have been looking at picking up a pair of gray and black floral skinnys. How " neutral" are these? Can I wear these with other florals? Stripes or dots? How neutral are they? I may just go with black.

I like to pattern mix and I think I could do stripes or dots (would have to see it together) but not the florals you have here. I think the scale of the pattern has to be different and since these pants are medium scale you have fewer options ie/ very big or very small print. Some will be braver than I....

These are quite lovely. Jules makes a good pint about respecting the scale of the pattern. I have my eye on these pants from Joe Fresh. I think they will be very versatile given the size of the pattern.

I like both of pairs of jeans you show here. I could see mixing them with the polka dot top but not the floral tops. I'm certainly no expert on pattern mixing though.

I love them, especilly the second pair. LOVE the idea of dots and stripes with them. And I would enjoy seeing a colorful floral print of the same scale, rather than the prints you've shown us. I think a "color on top, b/w on the bottom" look would be fun, if you could find a similar print in colors.

Stripes and dots would look fabulous! I personally would shy away from adding more floral on the top. Instead you could also experiment with other patterns, e.g. geometric, abstract...

I think both of those jeans are great and will be surprisingly versatile. I echo the other sentiments on the pattern mixing, graphic, stripes etc.

Thanks guys.....I think I will stick to the plain black skinnies. I have too many other florals and patterns I would be ignoring if I were to go with the patterned jeans. I need a small quick and easy mom on the go capsule....

Oh, the pics I listed were random. I did a Google search for gray and black skinnies.
