This is a question for anyone who wears non-leather shoes. I bought these "patent" loafers the other day, not realizing that they are totally non-leather. Given that they won't breathe at all I'm wondering how comfortable they will be after several hours of wear. I haven't worn loafers since I was about 12 but these were so comfortable and I thought the shiny "patent" quailty made them more a little more interesting. Any thoughts? I don't think I've ever worn a totally non-leather shoe.
I have. If it's not comfortable when you try it on, it's never going to get comfortable. The ones I've had were comfortable when I tried them on and stayed that way.
They're definitely comfortable now. I just wondered if they would be too hot after several hours--given the lack of breathability. I guess patent leather is actually a coated leather but these are made of some unknown man-made material
