Thursday I posted about my mini NAS haul http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-mini-haul...well, I went in for a second appointment on Friday afternoon and my mini haul turned into more of a midi haul Hey, it's not like it's a maxi haul, so there's that!
Friday was soooo hot here in Seattle, so I wore linen NYDJ slacks, my new JC tee with beaded neckline, silver sandals and my old pewter Francesco Biasia bag to work (#1 and 2). I had texted my SA the item numbers for the things I wanted to try, and she had picked some other items, so this time all I had to do was hang out in the changing room instead of elbowing my way through the tents!
Here's what I tried...
Eileen Fisher Angled Front Shaped Cardigan: the SA had chosen this wool topper for me in the burnt orange color, which is one of my worst (see photo #3)! Luckily they had it in a beautiful blue. It has a nice drape, but is a little scratchy so will definitely go over a sleeved top when it gets cooler. She also pulled the Nic + Zoe 'Best Friend' Reversible Belted Knit Coat that I was meh about until I put it on. I just now realized it's reversible, so it should be quite useful for coolish weather over black pants or skirt. Will try to put an outfit together and see what you all think. Firecracker's NAS post got me to thinking perhaps I should have some brown slacks in my work capsule, so I tried these NYDJ 'Ski' Zip Pocket Ponte Knit Pants. Unfortunately, the crotch/zipper area was doing weird things, so the SA brought me these Lafayette 148 New York 'Irving' Stretch Wool Pants which looked much better on. Still not convinced that I will wear them that much, so tags are still on. Also due to Firecrracker, I wanted to see the
HalogenĀ® High/Low Cashmere Tunic Sweater in Magenta, but they didn't have my size in stock so we ordered that one.
The SA pulled this jacket for me Lafayette 148 New York 'Clemente - Reed Cloth' Jacket and when I saw it I thought "oh no, she thinks I'm 75 years old!" It has various colors and metallic thread throughout, but the leather collar make it just a little hipper. I'm not 100% convinced, so will post photos when the ordered size gets here. The ones I tried had some weird buckling in the chest area...I fear that it may be intended for someone flatter chested than myself. I tried the Ecco Sullivan tall grey riding boots and I will say that they were narrow in the forefoot (no bunions allowed ;-)) and the calf is quite generous. I have large calves as it is, but I like a streamlined tall boot, so these were not going to work. They didn't have the Pikolino "Bruja" bootie available in my size, so those are on their way. The white Michael Kors belt came home, as did some Make + Model navy sweat bottoms for lounging.
Thanks for listening! I'm looking forward to what we all do with these fab items in the Fall!
