I've nearly packed my bags and am saving plenty of room in my suitcase for my trip this week to Basel and... Paris! We're staying in the 1st and I plan to take an afternoon or so to hit up some shops. My last visit I lucked out and stumbled into some fun affordable boutiques but I'd love to hear if anyone has any favorites!

Does anyone have any favorite destinations in Paris for shopping that they'd recommend? I love a good wearable souvenir and am not picky about category (footwear, bags, accessories, attire...). Although I have champagne tastes, my budget means the high-end designers will be reserved for window shopping. I love a good wearable souvenir, though, and wouldn't mind an investment piece to remember the trip by.

(BTW I am so pleased I finally found a good trench for my short waist.)
