Virtual "Paper dolls": Exploring my new color palette

I'm sorry for posting like crazy this week - I'm done for now! - but I'm having so much fun playing around this the bold colors I've been craving that I couldn't help but share.

Below, I've pulled together super-quick collages of the items I have that fall into this color scheme, or close to it. (It's a lot easier and far less time consuming than actually getting dressed, or even laying the clothes out and putting them away again.) I'm hoping this will give me inspiration to pull together combinations I hadn't previously worn together.

The last picture (#4) has some of the outfit ideas that I quickly came up with. It's kind of a cheap-o DIY Polyvore.

What outfits spring to your mind with these pieces at your disposal? What would you recommend trying out? I'm more or less approaching this exercise as if I have this large, colorful capsule to work with, though I'm certainly open to pulling non-colorful items from the rest of my closet into the mix.
If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!

Clever Kari! Magenta dress with yellow sweater looks like fun! I would also love to see the red dress with your yellow bag. Not sure if it works with the white jacket, too, but that could be fun.

blue skirt, green blouse, purple cardi and burgundy shoes? with bronze bag perhaps?

purple skirt with oxfords or brown booties, new argyle sweater and striped blazer? with the red bag?

Pants with the blue blouse shown just above them? with the rust cardigan and the same booties as shown?

yellow skirt and coral top with white blazer, adding yellow shoes and red bag perhaps?

Everything looks so gorgeous, Kari! I think I am challenged to come up with pairings because the skirts are on a different page than the tops :), but I know that you are the Queen of Pairing Gorgeous Colors Together!

I love your enthusiasm for bold colours, Kari, it's contagious. And you have such a fantastic collection of bright and happy colours already.

Here are a few combinations that came to mind - but there are lots more options and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

- new blue argyle sweater + yellow pencil skirt + white blazer
- green ls button-down shirt + purple V-neck sweater
- green ls button-down shirt + any of your pencil skirts (yellow, teal, magenta)
- green ls button-down shirt + blue&white striped blazer/yellow blazer/white blazer + jeans

I would like to see the blue halogen skirt, with the white shirt/yellow jacket combo and the red bag. I saw an outfit with the three primaries in brights and it looked gorgeous. The bright white would work - I think.

- lime blouse, yellow blazer, Long and Lean jeans (if you're still wearing them)
- coral blouse, magenta skirt, white blazer
- coral print dress, white blazer, brown ankle booties, bronze bag
- rust blouse, teal cardigan, yellow skirt, yellow pumps
- an all-white outfit with the pumpkin cardigan
- teal blouse, teal skirt, red booties, red purse
- teal blouse over the red dress as a de-bombshell pencil type look
- navy/mustard print blouse, yellow skirt
- coral blouse, white blazer, rust pants
- turquoise turtleneck, vest, rust pants, dark red pumps (maybe for a cooler day)
- green dress, purple cardigan, mustard pumps
- coral print dress, pumpkin cardigan, red booties
- rust blouse, vest, rust pants, dark red pumps, pearls

(Had to stop somewhere! So many options!)

Amy, that is fabulous! (Frankensteining - or perhaps it should be Frankenshopping - I love it!) I've been doing the same thing just on Publisher, dragging/dropping and resizing the various photo clips over one another to come up with myriad combinations. Thank you for playing along!

Kari, I LOVE that ruffle-front coral colored blouse. Would you mind sharing where you got it?

Amy, it's a Classiques Entier silk blouse that I got at the Nordstrom Rack on final sale a year and a half ago. I have it in a grape-purple color too. I wish, for your sake, that it was a more recent buy!
