Lots of nays, as I expected.
I definitely like the look of coloured tights with peep-toe or strappy booties, as seen in K.M.'s examples, because the contrast emphasizes the beauty of the shoe and the colour itself adds a fun factor.
Wolford, by the way, sells beige footless pantyhose, for those interested.
I agree that if the weather is warm enough for sandals, then it's warm enough for bare legs, but I would want to incorporate a dressy sandal as an all-year item.
Regarding the toe box: square toe boxes can be deceptive. The sharp angles can be rather unforgiving, and cut into the wrong part of my foot.
If you have a wide toe box (from bunions, for example) and an otherwise narrow foot, wider shoes are often not the answer, as the width assumes a wider foot in all measurements. No amount of heel protectors, inserts and footpads, I find, can fully stabilize the foot or protect it from bleeding blisters.
