Pants with fit comparable to BR Sloan?

Has anyone discovered trousers with a fit comparable to BR's Sloan fit? I absolutely love it. I have the black flare and the dark gray straight-leg, but all that is available right now is black in either fit. I would like to get a couple more pairs of trousers in a similar fit, but in other colors (such as light gray or taupe) or a pattern like tweed or herringbone. Any help would be appreciated!

ETA: I need petite sizing, so that would be a bonus.

I will be watching this thread, too! So far I only have my sloans in micro-striped navy - I would be over the moon if they released some more colors. Maybe they will do textures when the Fall lines come out? They have a Sloan ankle-length pant that came in navy and a gray pinstripe. I don't like the cropped length too much, but maybe you could get the regular length and wear them as skinnies.

It looks like from the website that the Sloan fit is lower rise and straight through the waist/hip, is that right? It sounds kinda like the Mercer fit from Eddie Bauer. They have several fit types just like BR - it might be worth trying them out. They usually have a few styles of each type in store but the website/catalog has a lot more choices. Also, maybe the Modern fit from Ann Taylor? (Hmm, that's what they call it at the Ann Taylor Factory stores, but the regular AT stores might have a different name for it.)

I'm a curvy/Jackson cut gal myself so I have no personal experience with the Sloan.

I fit the Sloan best out of all the pants at Banana Republic, and in general am consistently best-fitted in the most "modern" or slim-cut fit. Although they are jeans, I liked the fit of LOFT's Petite Modern Skinny Jeans, so you could try other Modern fit trousers at Ann Taylor or LOFT. I also really like the Zelda fit at Express--still jeans, but you could ask an SA what their equivalent in trousers is.

Have to add, also--I have a terrible time shopping for pants, so if that's your situation too, I emphathize. It's harder to tailor a pant through the hips or let out the waist than it is to take in the waist, and most middle-of-the-road average fits are too tight in the waist for me.

Rae, I've certainly been keeping my fingers crossed for new colors with the fall line. They seem to sell out of petite sizes sooner, so I know I can't wait for a sale but must jump on them as soon as they're out!

Thanks for the ideas, Laura. Almost all of my shopping is done online, so it helps to have some idea of comparable fits.

KL, Sloan fit must be simply miraculous, because I usually have trouble with waist gaping if the hips and thighs fit well. Maybe it's the stretch of the fabric. I would own half a dozen pairs if they came in a greater variety of colors/patterns.
