Pantone colours of 2016...will you?

For the past month I've been waiting for the Pantone people to make their pronouncement regarding colour for the coming year. After Marsala for 2015, I am kind of surprised by the sweetness of the top colours for 2016. They are a cheerful lot, however with a high happiness factor ( for me, anyway.)

My first thoughts are that the icy blues of my spring 2015 capsule are pretty close to Serenity, and Green Flash is one of my best colours but normally hard to find. If it truly becomes available, I might plan a S/S capsule around Green Flash. It should play well with my navy's and white.

What do you think of the Pantone colours for 2016? Will they influence your shopping choices?

I like about half of the Pantone Spring 2016 colors ( all the cool ones) and plan to wear them a lot indeed and plan all the potential purchases around them to round up what I already have . However, when I see color palettes like these, I take them more like a general suggestion of colors as opposed to trying to match those exact shades. I like both Serenity and Quartz Pink a lot, but interpret them as cool light blue and cool pale pink and that is what I hope to wear. It would be too stringent to match them exactly.
I am currently thinking of my Spring 2016 colors like these:
Main colors: light cool blue (Serenity or close), light cool pink (Pink Quartz or close), white/off-white/bone ( I consider it a real color for me)
Supporting neutrals: navy ( Snorkel Blue and darker inky ones), grey (Lilac Grey and paler, more silvery tones including silver leather for accessories)
Accent colors: aqua (Limpet Shell and similar), lilac, taupe ( a nod to Ice Coffee) and small dose of black ( I really like the white/black and pastel color combo for outfits).

They're largely too pastel/muddy for me so I'll probably pass for the most part. There's not a single dark or saturated color there! I do like icy blue although it's not my best color so I might get a piece or two in Serenity. I have some very pale silvery blue yarn; maybe I'll knit a sweater with it. It's more silvery though, so closer to a neutral than serenity.

I've got a couple of blush (rose quartz-ish?) pieces and a lilac grey sweater, but I think that's enough for me.

The spring colors never do much for me. I'll enjoy Serenity and Rose Quartz in the sunrise, rather than on my clothing/decor.

I like them a lot (rose quartz and serenity). I also love the grey color. So yes. If I see them, I will certainly take the time to consider them.

I find that the interpretation of the pantonw colors depends on the brands.
Personally I like the blue( that they insist is not baby blue ) and maybe will think about it.

The serenity color is one of my all time favorites although I've always called it periwinkle. I'll be excited if it starts showing up in retail as it's been hard to find the last few years.

now that i'm wearing white year round, yes I will...I have a hard time putting light colors like this with darks, but love them with white.

Boy they look different in that arrangement, all together... But I really like them and had been incorporating them into my palette before this announcement. I note, however, they're a little too happy as is for the times. I think they need to be grounded in some urban decay...

I'm good with snorkel blue but will pass on the rest. I've got my color palette pretty firmly in hand per Angie's post this morning!

I like either of those icy pastels paired with soft grey and tomato red -- that's a very eye-pleasing and distinctive combo for me.

Really don't love that particular green, or the yellow.

I think snorkel blue is the only one of this group that I will personally wear. Serenity is a bit like faded denim so I guess I'll wear that too. Rose quartz is pretty but just not right for me. Like Una, I think I also have my color palette pretty well decided.

Rose Quartz, Serenity and Lilac Grey appeal to me, but whether I'll find them come the spring remains to be seen!

I love the blues, peach, aqua and Green flash, and I can see myself wearing many combinatins, specially with nawy blue which is at the moment my favourite neutral.

I like them all - they are happy colors. I am not sure about the Green Flash but others should work for me :-0

Oh, it doesn't look like it will be a good year for clothing for me. Pale blue and any version of pink (coral included) are my nemesis. I look like death warmed over in pale blue, while I simply have a philosophical objection to pink. *sigh*

I like the green flash. My BF has something like this in a slightly toned-down heathered green colour and it's not garish, but at the same time really stands out as fresh.

I'll try anything pink and blue, but putting them together like that in the picture makes them seem so juvenile.

I think I will pass. The only colour I am drawn to here is iced coffee. I always have this problem with spring colours. But I will enjoy seeing them on others.

Most of these don't appeal to me, but I reserve the right to change my mind I did pick up a pink denim moto recently on sale, and I am looking forward to making it work next spring.

I will wear the more intense ones (I had a snorkel and buttercup shirt I loved once) but probably will skip both of the colors of the year. I will try to find the right blush again if the right piece strikes me-- it seems more of a wintery color though.

Rose Quartz looks lots like blush. I would like to add more .
Green Flash looks like a deeper version of Apple Green. I like Snorkle too, actually the two together. I'd like to play with navy and green.
