These colors don't knock me out but I do like my faded blue jeans and my blush t-shirt, so maybe??

I'm excited about the whole 2016 palette because the colors are super flattering to my coloring (dark hair, light skin, blue-gray eyes).

The pink looks like a nice blush to me (granted it's one that suits me), but we've seen plenty of blush in fashion the past couple of years, no? I do think blush is showing up more in home decor recently.
The blue is a middling mid tone, not something I would personally choose until I realized it's not far off from some tencel/rayon "chambrays" that have been around lately and I do own some, I just see it as a neutral, like denim.
Overall, it doesn't feel like Pantone is ahead of the curve so much as a bit behind. Maybe they want to look more influential in 2016 than some of their recent choices turned out to be. I wonder if they have any metrics or just people who collect images etc to see how well their predictions held up...

I will join those of you who are passing by and taking a look, but not partaking.

Having picked up pale blue this spring, I'm happy to see it trending for next year. I actually pulled out my pale blues to mix with cream, grey, black, and silver for Holiday sparkle in my work capsule! Last spring Danier had yummy pastel leathers juxtaposed with black to toughen it up. Pale blue and tomatoe red is another combo I love.

Not so sure about the pink. Doesn't work wonderfully with the red undertones in my skin.

I do like the palette Pantone shows along with the baby sweets and hope to see them in retail - especially Green Flash!

Meh! I don't dislike them but they're not my colours. Pastels tend to wash me out. Mid-tones work best for me.....nothing pastel and nothing bright.

Well, they'll play nice with all of this year's "marsala"!

I like the 2016 palette -- for those who do color analysis it looks like it leans heavily toward summer/soft autumn. Technically I'm a winter (probably dark winter), but those smoky-muted-cool tones are really my weakness, even if they don't always suit me. The color chips for Arctic, Tourmaline, Vetiver, and Thyme make me drool!

Looks like a great palette for anyone who takes silver over gold, too.

I agree with Peri that the predicted colours never seem to make it to the stores.
Both these colours work for me, but I'd use them in very small doses.

I don't do pastels LOL...

The colours remind me of Prada's latest collection, the one with the trouser suits in the pastel shades. These colours do work on my colouring but I'm not sure if I will add more of these tones to my mostly nuetral wardrobe.

I couldn't have said it better than Una. These are definitely NOT my colours!

Haha Peri x 1000

I used to really dislike pastels on me for a LONG time.. I mean , like since I was about 8. I am 51. A LONG time.

Then a couple of years ago I went to a CA YLF get together. I met the wonderful and lovely Aida. She had on a pink quartz leather moto. And I fell in love. With her too, but THAT jacket. I have wanted one ever since. It doesn't need to be leather. And it goes with deep berry colors....I am very happy about this.

I'm a winter and wear a lot of navy, gray, red, black, white. But I do love and wear these colors, usually as a top or shirt. Light blue shirts are a basic for me, I probably wear them more than white.

I would wear the pink in judicious doses--perhaps in a cami or scarf with a navy or black blazer. And I rather like the blue.

My mother loved that soft shade of pink and it looked beautiful with her complexion and hair.
