Long time reader de-lurking for help with ppl of course!
I bought these AG Mari straight leg cropped jeans and loved them so much that I bought them in three washes.  Then I hauled them to Nordstroms to get them hemmed to a crop on my 5'2" self.  I tried them on with all the shoes I thought I'd wear them with and decided I needed them to be 2-21/2 inches above my ankle bone (my 9 year old helped measure).  I discussed the measurements with the tailor and even had her lower the hem when she originally put it at 3 inches.  I just received them back and they look like they're about 31/2 inches above my ankle bone (my 9 yr old isn't home yet to measure).  I know Nordstroms will work with me but I wanted to double check with you all first to see if they are really ok at this length.  I have not worn cropped pants in the winter with boots etc up to this point so it could just look off to my eye.  They look better to me with a more summery shoe w/out socks.  Also - see how the hem flares out at the side a little?  Does that look weird?  I'll upload pics of them with a variety of shoes to see what you think.  Keep as is or take them back and start over?
