So I was all pleased with myself for ordering practical things for my lifestyle during NAS. I didn't even look at the dresses, because I have sooo many dresses, what could possibly justify more?

Um, maybe my son's bar mitzvah?

I actually looked through my closet last week thinking about what to wear to the many events associated with my first child's bar mitzvah in early September. You see, this is a religious bar mitzvah, so along with a brunch for friends and wider family Friday morning at a restaurant - where there will be a photographer!, we will be hosting 3 Shabbat meals, a synagogue kiddush (light buffet) after services for the congregation as well as some other less formal activities with the family that will start arriving in three weeks! One MIL, 3 SILs + husbands/partners, one mother, one sister, one niece and two nephews are flying in from America (not all staying with us as we don't have a mansion!). We have another 2 nieces, 1 nephew+wife and 3 kids staying in the neighborhood (with various generous neighbors) for that weekend.

So it occurred to me I might need a dress after all. Thanks to Angie and the lovely forum members who modeled it, the choice was clear.

(bonus shot of Nimrod's Fortress - we took a short trip to the north of Israel before we all buckle down this week!)
