Pale Blue Bleach Skinnies - Can I rock or should I return?

I've been inspired by the promise of Spring weather and the spring colours and prints in my wardrobe to pick up some pale bleached blue skinny jeans.

They are supersoft material (fit more like jeggings) and a great length on me. I thought I could incorporate the girly spring items in my wardrobe with them and rock them with corals, pastels, prints etc - plus my blush leather jacket.

However, after doing a search on the YLF forum for ideas on outfits I found that there is alot of 'hate' for pale bleached jeans. Is this still the case? I know they're not everyones cup of tea but I think they should work with my style and aesthetic.

What's the general consensus now?

Pic is of actual jeans and the style pic is an inspiration outfit off the net.

I think they are fine as long as the fit and length are O.K.
Treat them as an alternative to white denim.

Isn't bleached supposed to be in? If it rocks *your* world, I think you should go ahead and wear it!

Hate is a strong word

I love faded and bleached jeans. These look fab if the fit is fab. In fact are these even bleached? They look like a pale blue pastel fabrication.

They do look more like a pastel to me and they are lovely! I think they would be a great addition to your wardrobe

I LOVE faded jeans (in fact, nothing can compete with well well aged denim on my textile love list). The picture does look more like a robins egg colored denim but that's good too for warm weather. I think you can make it work.

I think it is more fade styles that come in and out of fashion - like acid washed/splashed jeans that have splotches of dark and light, or jeans that have dramatic faded spots on the thighs and bum, or those that have very obvious whiskering. Those styles definitely are trendy and come and go.

But coloured denim is very in style this season, and that includes light pastels like these jeans. I think they would work wonderfully with a soft summer colour palette.
