Hello,
YLF helped me make a fab thrifting find at Goodwill today! They are these, except in a dark black:

I was flipping through the jeans halfheartedly, when some brand new-looking black jeans caught my eye. I read the "Paige Premium Denim Label" and thought it sounded sort of familiar. Normally, I'd have passed on these because they aren't my size and Goodwill has recently gone mad and raised their prices on used jeans to $9.99. I wandered around with them for a while, really reluctant to shell out for them, but I finally went for it based on my hazy memory that I'd heard of them.
Turns out, I'd heard of the brand because people on YLF seem to like them (thanks, YLF-ers!). So now the question is, what should I do with them? Like I said, they are not my size--they're much too small. Ordinarily, I'd for sure just sell them on ebay--why have clothes that don't fit, right?
BUT...should I keep them instead? I totally get that the "dress the body you have" philosophy, and I normally do just that. However, the body I have has been shrinking steadily the last few months and is continuing to do so. I am really unsure where my weight and size will ultimately end up, and that's why there's a small part of me that thinks maybe I should keep the Paige jeans in case they'll fit me when my weight stabilizes. I mean, when would I ever find another pair for $10?
What do you think? Should I sell them to make a bit of cash on ebay and worry about finding jeans when my weight has stabilized, or should I hang onto them for possible future use?
I'm not familiar with the Paige sizing, but for reference, I started out as a US size 14-16 jean (due to giant thighs--most pants that fit my thighs swim on my waist, which is why I wear so many skirts), and am now somewhere in the 10-12 range. My best guess is that I will be around a 6-8 when I'm done losing weight. These jeans are a Page size 26.
What would you do?
