Has anyone tried Paige jeans? I tried on a pair in a consignment store that were bootcuts and they seemed to fit well but I want skinnies. I just ordered a pair from Nordstroms and wondered how they hold up? I am sooo sick of my pants falling down during the day. The pair that I ordered are a slightly faded pair because they did not have a completely dark wash. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....0&P=1
I sort of like a more textured denim for my lifestyle. Does that seem to make sense or should I invest in a dark even wash? I have no hips, jeans are usually too curvy for me. Junior jeans always fit but are way too low. Huge investment, we shall see if they actually fit and do not fall down like most which is why I never spend much money on jeans.

Jean, I'm very interested in how the Paige will fit. My problems with jeans are the same as yours...want straight or skinny but a mid rise and have no hips to keep the junior styles that fit otherwise up. I also fight a muffin top with low rise.
I was looking at the selection of Not Your Daughters jeans at Nordstroms (midrise), but even what they call straight leg and skinny jeans have more of a boot cut at the bottom (15-16 inches?) That makes them wide to tuck into boots.

I like Paige jeans. I have tried them and almost bought them but they were a wideleg so I didn't. I like the fabric and the fit. I think you have a good chance of these working out.

I have a couple of pair if Paige jeans and I love them. The quality is excellent and the fit is really good. Go for them!

Joy and Jean: I don't know how you feel about shopping at Urban Outfitters (with college-and-teen-aged hipsters roaming about and whatnot), but they always have a TON of skinny jeans at any given time, and a lot of them have a pretty high rise (8" or more). Shiny has had success with them and she also has narrow hips. I'm not that curvy but I do have a very round and very high bum, and they are usually too slim cut for me. They sound like what you might be after (a junior's fit with a higher rise).

I cannot vouch for the fit on less curvy hips but I can definitely vouch for the rises on the BDG line of jeans at UO. Almost every pair of jeans that I tried fit really well at the waist for me, less gaping because of the higher rise.

I actually have ordered a pair of the same jeans Shiny has from UO.
I was at the store and the service was awful and they had no stock, I was literally walking around the store asking "Does anyone work here?" I finally found someone hidden in the fitting room which took me forever to find. I decided to order online.

How do people feel about the wash that is slightly faded of the Paige jeans?

Jean, I think the wash on those jeans will definitely work I just bought a pair of skinnies at UO and they are a little lighter than these and Angie gave those the thumbs up

Jean, I've found Paige to definitely fit the smaller bottom quite well. I actually really like the McKinley wash. It's not super dark, but it's fairly dark and a nice color.

But if you were my client Jean, and we were shopping for jeans, J. Brand would be first on the list for your body type. Then Diesel, Rich and Skinny and Habitual.

I have a pair of Paige jeans that I love. I think the quality is very good.

I have a pair of the "Blue Heights" skinnies (more like a straight-leg, really), and I've found the quality to be quite good. I do find that they run small, though; they're the same size as my COH skinnies and fit MUCH closer.

I have tried every style of jbrand and they are too low in the back. That is where the problem lies, I do not mind low in the front but I have a high hip and need coverage to keep them up. I have not tried the others but will. Oh, it is a difficulty this jean search!
Thanks everyone, I will let you know and post if any seem promising.

Hi Jean, I usually have a similar problem - I don't have hips, so the waistband has to be above my hip bones in order for the jeans to stay put. I do have a pair of J Brand bootcuts that are midrise and work great. Most places seem to carry their low-rise models (I believe the numbers start with 9), but there are usually mid-rise versions that may work for you - I think the numbers start with 8. I also tried Paige bootcuts that had a higher rise at Nordstrom and liked the look, but I can't speak to how they wear.

Try Rich & Skinny and Habitual, Jean. They have higher back rises usually. Also try Club Monaco.

I've probably had the wrong J Brands on, so will need to look for the midrise. Thank you Maya for the heads up on UO's I wouldn't normally try that store.
I'm adding Diesel, Rich and Skinny and Habitual to the list to try. Are these brands at Nordstroms?
