Packing for NYC

Tomorrow, the hubby and I are off to NYC for a few days of good hop on hop off touring, dining and of course...shopping. This will be my first real trip to NY and I'm so looking forward to the hubby showing me a good time. This will also be our first trip without the boys which reminds me to add on my list of things to buy : nice present for mom

Hope you have a fabulous trip, Anh!! If you're debating on bottoms, may I suggest sticking to light-weight but long pants? It's still a little cool for clams in this part of the world, but the perfect time to break out the cotton blends and lighter colours! Great ballet flat weather too, if you have them.

Anh, I would recommend bringing several pairs of comfy shoes to switch out with since you'll probably being dong a lot of walking while you are there. I wore my ballet flats for two days straight when I was there in March. No problems at all the first day, but by the end of the second day my arches were killing me. But, then again, I have cranky 56 year old feet...

Thanks Debora and Angie. I packed up two ballet flats with a pair of low heel booties. If my feet are killing me, I'll buy a pair of Toms in navy

Glad to hear you are brining walking shoes, that would be my first suggestion for NYC walking around. The weather had big swings right now, 40s at night and early morning up to 70s during the day. Layering is key at this time of year. And sunglasses.

Have a great time! I was just there for my first time this weekend. I thought my ballet flats would do it, but even though they are "comfort" shoes, I should have switched them for walking shoes. The weather was perfect, and so was Bloomingdale's.
