Advise, please, if you can?
I expect to be in Macau on a junket for 3-4 days near the end of March. I don't need to be wearing business formals; one (or at best two) business casual outfits and the rest relatively 'touristy' will suffice.
What do I need to pack weatherwise though? It seems to be a between-seasons time, so can anyone tell me what I should expect --- cold-dry, cold-wet, stormy, warm-to-cool...?
Specific questions:
(1) Do I need an anorak (mine is unlined, but 'gear' standard for hiking and light mountaineering) or my woollen winter coat? (My jackets are quilted silk or cotton, not high-tech materials.)
(2) I don't need my thermals, I trust, and normal cotton layers will suffice? (keeping in my mind that my current 'spring' temperatures are 33 degrees Celsius, aka 91.5 degrees Fahrenheit at 5pm)
(3) I've been to Hong Kong and mainland China (Shanghai and suburbs); is Macau as dressy/fashionable/cosmopolitan or less so? I'm wondering about the advisability of packing an Indian ethnic outfit for evening events, as I don't own an evening gown and my cocktail dresses are currently MIA. Or would dressy separates be a better bet?
Thank you so much for your help, ladies!
