'Oxford-y' John Fluevogs

A while ago somebody on the forum recommended John Fluevog to me (when I was looking at the Miz Mooz shoes). I've just rediscovered his website and found a few oxford-y type shoes that might inspire some of you to try the oxford look again.

By the way: has anyone ever tried John Fluevogs on? Are they really as comfortable as the reviews seem to suggest?
I'm not a fan of his more outrageous styles, but I could see my in the grey&white Malibran;-)

I found so much on that site that I love, Inge. I'll be interested to hear if they live up on the comfort scale, too. Anyone out there have experience?

Heh heh Inge, that was me - that was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw those Miz Mooz. I was actually surprised no one was familiar with the brand. When I came to Seattle in the 90s, their Angels were all over the place, and it made a big impression on me, so I always loved their look and would go to their store often but never actually owned a pair. I almost got their flat oxfords once but then decided that was too bold (I used to be even more timid in my shoe choices). A friend of mine used to wear them a lot and found them very comfortable. I also have ordered those Malibrans from Zappos last year, but they were quite wide for my foot and I sent them back. They were lovely in all other aspects.

Looking through the Fluevog website was so much fun. I had forgotten all about their shoes and boots. I remember visiting their store in Seattle many years ago and what an experience, just like visiting a great hat shop.

I really like some of these. Thanks, Inge.

I know somebody who wears their heels a lot, and she says they're comfortable. Still, it probably depends on the foot.

LOVE those fluevog oxfords! I had an almost new pair of adorable burgundy ones I got several years ago at a thrift store, that I completely forgot about til I saw this. Wish I'd kept them :(. They were very well made, and took some breaking in as I recall.

Love the Malibrans. That yellow colour pops like popcorn!!!! The Lady Grey's are delightful too!! I have never heard of this brand before but they look very exotic!

Aww, Fluevog! He's my homeboy (literally--he's from Vancouver). I've never owned a pair but I lust after his shoes constantly.
