Oxford wedges-advice and then according to your advices

I bought these oxford wedges shoes last year, I like the color and they are extremely comfortable. I am not sure they are up to date or no, but I don’t know how to wear them, with pants, skirt, dress, what kind? Everything I tried it didn’t work to my mind.

So please your advices and suggestions would be more than
welcome.

I'd wear them with dresses/skirts and tights, mostly in all black and sometimes gray. It's not a look for everyone, some people have a strong poison eye for brown shoes with black bottoms.

These could also go with boyfriend jeans and a tweed blazer. I'd try them with wide crops too and see how it goes.

Those are fun, Mirjana. I second Traci's suggestions, and could also see them work with (cuffed) skinny or straight leg jeans, and with kick flares.

Perhaps you could post a few photos of outfits in which you felt they didn't work? (Sometimes our eye needs to adjust to a new look, or the outfit only needs a little tweak to make it work, and we would love to help with suggestions.)

Nice shoes. As the other ladies have suggested, these would be fabulous with rolled boyfriend jeans or cuffed skinnies/straight legs. And I also like Traci's idea of wearing them with a column of black, perhaps bookending with the bag you mentioned that is in the same color group.

I have had some quite similar one and wore them to my grey/black denim skirts with opaques in falland winter or straight/skinny legged pants.

These are cool shoes! I'd want to wear pants of a similar colour or grey pants...nothing dark with them...altho maybe navy or ink actually...

According to your advices I tried my oxfords with blue jeans straight leg and skinny and with gray skirt and black skirt (all black). I send the pictures to see does it work? I personally don’t like these oxfords with skirt; I think they are good only with pants. Maybe my eye didn’t adjust to that, I don’t
know. Anyhow I'll definitely wear them and enjoy thanks to you.

Ooh fab! I love all the denim/pants outfits, Mirjana, and quite like the skirt outfit too (love how you've added a belt in the same colour as the oxfords). Have you tried the oxfords + skirt/dress with black sheer or patterned tights or hosiery? Or sheer nude hose? Perhaps it's the black opaque tights that are making it not work for you?

Also: even if you end up not liking the oxfords paired with skirts or dresses, you have plenty of fabulous outfits with jeans and pants, so it's a win-win

Thanks Inge, I don't wear patterned tights ( I think not for my ages), but I will try with black sheer or hosiery, you noticed better what bother me, black opaque. Yes, I have planty of other options.

Love them in your denim combinations, but personally I adore brown with black and would love these with black tights. Just add a little more brown elsewhere in the outfit, as others have suggested, to make it look intentional, and the shoes will look great!

These are all fantastic, Mirjana. I especially like the jeans outfits. The rolled hems look cute and stylish, and I love the untucked shirt under the pullover in #2. That is a super look--very cool and casual, yet still has a bit of polish that makes the outfit very "you." I do like the skirt outfits, and I think they work very well with the matching belt and shoes. To me, the dark tights work well with the dark outfit--I'm not bothered at all by the dark tights with the cognac-colored shoes; I quite like it. If you're still wanting different options for tights/stockings, I could envision outfit #6 with heather gray tights to echo the sweater (I've put a couple of examples in Finds).

I like the shoes, and all of ways you styled them. The all-black feels especially familiar to me, because it's something I would wear. (Learning to wear less all-black around here.)

It will be interesting to see them with tights like the ones Firecracker found.
