Oversized pants on me?

I'm not sure I have physical access to the big pants featured in Angie's blog post today, so I might have to purchase online.
I'm wondering if you think that these big, balloony pants from COS (or another retailer) would look ok on me (long torso/short legs) 5'5" slim build?
What about another type of drop-crotch pant?

Maybe I should qualify 'look ok' : I mean, do you think it will make my legs look even stubbier?

Smittie, I wouldn't have said your legs are stubby, in fact I would have guessed you were quite tall from your photos. Try them and post pix!!

Try them. You might like them. I have a pair of big balloon pants that I bought at a craft show 4 or 5 years ago. Yes they make my legs look stubby (My legs are average) and I am 5'7.5" but so what. I love them. The woman who made them also had long tunics. Now I am kicking myself for not having bought a tunic. Everything was linen.
These are the pants.
I also don't think your legs are stubby.

Sorry, I didn't mean 'stubby'. Just 'short'. Yes, I do have short legs, and I think my WIWs are deceiving in that regard. The mirror is on an angle.

Style fan, your pants are awesome. That style is very much like what I was thinking, except maybe a bit more tapered. I like the idea of a long tunic.
I find the ones that Angie posted just a wee bit OTT for me, but just tightening up the silhouette a touch seems like it would be a very nice breezy summer look.
Here is one by Sarah Pacini. I think you said you liked her.

I think with a fitted top it would look great! Long, loose pants can make your legs look longer :3

Yes Sarah Pacini does that look very well. I have a few pairs of pants by her. Her pants tend to be very flattering. They make your legs look 10 miles long.

You can definitely pull them off. I am 5'5" and wear fuller legged pants. I like them best with cropped tops, as Angie suggests. You asked about dropped-crotch styles--I love those, too. Here are a couple of WIWs with my favorites.

IAngie, I don't think I'd want to go full-tilt on the baggy look, but as you mentioned on your blog, the individual pieces moght look quite nice paired off with a more structured element.

I just wonder if someone with short legs could wear a low crotch point (don't love that word, bit not sure how to avoid it).

I suppose it's a JFE on everybody?
