I don't dig 'em. I had an "aha!" moment recently about why. In short: in order for your legs to look shapely, you have to either expose the knee joint or the ankle joint. OTK boots mask both, making your legs look shapeless and stumpy. A way around this is to wear OTK boots that are skin-tight, showing the shape of your legs, and high-heeled, which always makes legs look longer and more shapely. Unfortunately then you look like the Julia Roberts prostitute character in Pretty Woman, which is not what most women are going for!
If you turn them down, they are no longer OTK boots -- they're just knee boots that make you look like a pirate (or, yes, a muskateer!). I sort of dig that, but not enough to actually buy a pair.
