Such a general question. Okay here goes the date I would want to go on is something we could laugh or talk and have fun with something not to serious like a music fest roller skating or housing. I'm in my 40s and these are things I love to do. My style of dress is all over the map but a recent outfit choice could be suitable for any one of these activities.
It could be a bit much but if your going to know me you have to know how I dress.

It depends on the type of date. Dinner at a fancy restaurant would have different needs than a beach picnic. The best outfit would be well suited to the activities of the date and make you feel comfortable and confident.
Without knowing the activity for your date, I would say pieces I use a lot on dates include: - super skinny jeans - body con dresses (guys love this) - white button up blouse - colourful tights (guys drool over this too) - colourful silk scarves - comfy riding boots
I suggest a dark pair of skinny jeans, comfortable shoes (if you want heels, wedges tend to be less painful because it distributes the weight), a structured jacket (leather is always hot), and a sexy top. Casual but still sexy
