Outfit lab. Wide straight leg jeans

I’ll start by saying I love these jeans. They’re super comfortable and have a retro nostalgic look to them that I love. But...I’ve been struggling with how to style them. Part of it’s the leg...wide but straight and nor cropped, so I’m trying to figure out what footwear. Also that’s are the highest waisted pants I have, so I’m also trying to find the right length top.
Here’s a couple of tries.

They look fabulous on you.

My favorites are 1 - 4 and 10 - 12.

I am not feeling those white shoes with these pants. But I could potentially be biased against them.

I love them with the striped and the navy sweater. I think all of these work. Have you tried them cuffed with Cons--particularly with the blazer. That color block long cardigan is cool!

ETA: I keep looking at the white boots with the navy sweater and I just love that look. So fun!

It's unusual to see full length jeans in straight/wide leg shape after cropped length reining for so long. I like outfits with some fun elements - like white boots in #5-6 or that long cardigan in #10-12. I'm not sure about traditional combinations - especially when you can't see interesting details on those jeans ( jacket hides it too much for me ).
Maybe more outfits to play - blouses to tack in or graphic t-shirts with modern sneakers?..The jeans are fun and fit you well.

Everything works. Faves are with the light shoes - so white and brown. Add back in the pretty creating a fab juxtaposition

Least fave is the blazer. This style is better with long or short toppers
to my eye. That in-between longer blazer length is tricky. Although it’s all over the catwalk....

kellygirl...yes! need to try them with cons...fall seemed to last 2 weeks this year, and we moved into boot weather, but if/when it gets warm enough again, i'll give the cons a try.

glad that no one, and especially not the PPL police LOL (just kidding Angie), thought that the pair were too short when worn uncuffed! that was a big part of what i strugged with...
my least fav was the long cardi, but i think i'll try it again with navy boots..i will give a short blazer a try...the navy sweater was my fav, may need to invest in another short sweater.

The jeans are great on you. Navy sweater is my fave too. But I also really like the striped.

I got a similar pair last year at Uniqlo and love wearing them. Especially with booties, combat boots, sneakers and chunky oxfords.

Yoked jeans! Very retro indeed. I love them with the first two sweaters and the white boots. They look great cuffed. That colorblock cardigan is SO COOL. The only version that doesn't excite me is the navy blazer.

Love those on you! I like the shorter sweaters best but like the long cardigan too; I guess my least fav is the navy blazer. I actually really like the cream boots with them!

I'm really crushing on those cream boots...so fab with the jeans! Love the color block cardigan too. I'm not feeling the navy blazer because it really seems to swamp your petite frame.

I don't think I have ever seen you in any jeans that I did not like...you wear jeans incredibly well. #5 is my favourite, so it is great to see that is what you are wearing to work today - YLF. I like the cropped sweater with the fitted waist band - it highlights the details on the jeans so well.

Queen Jeans reigns again! I love these on you! I especially like versions with the striped sweater and the white boots. Long sweater also works to my eye.

Synne and slim cat...for me blouses/shirts are a warm weather item (i hate to be cold), but i will definitely give then spring rolls around

I clicked to say how great you look in pants I'd find very challenging, and saw that you met that challenge over & over. These are all very nice. I like the striped/color block top, the white boots, and that dark top from 4-7 best. Is it just the side pix, or is there a tiny bit of taper?
