Here is an "uotfit lab" regarding size, fit and even whether/no for some Old Navy "extra high waist BF jeans".
I think "high waisted-BF may be an oxymoron, so these may be more "mom jeans", but I will leave that to denimology experts. But I did want a looser-leg style and not a wide-leg crop.

I have tried on 2 sizes--an 8 and a 10. The 8 is trimmer and so have question of whether it is too much so for tucking in, for the type of jean.
However, the 8 fit works better than the 10 if want to wear as just a looser leg jean with casual untucked tops and shirts.
The 10 is baggier and feels comfy enough to wear it even for lounging around home. also wondered if the looser fit is better and less "trying too hard". But since baggier, is harder to wear with tops out, as requires a lot of volume.

I have considered keeping both, to use for different proportions and situations as noted. Or maybe not.

I am not able to show back view (maybe that's good), and I do get the very long bottom with this style. I can tuck tops into some lower rise pants and so get long torso and less bottom, but always will have very loooong bottom with high-rise except when mitigated by very carefully tailored wide-leg trousers, and even then....., So that comes with the territory.

One kind of "look" I would be going for is the nicer shirt/blouse and loafers to be less mom-jean than with sneakers, then next a slouchier sweater and sneakers.

I think I have shown with loafers and a sneaker and OTBT flat boots.

Or, perhaps to others' eyes they both just look odd, so I could take that into account as well!

1-2 are size 8--with tucked silk shirt and with a cotton swtr.
Pic 3 - 5 are size 10 with different tops tucked in.
Pic 6 I think is the 10 , but anyway is shown with short tweed jacket. Pic 7 with Dakota blazer

Pic 8 is back to size 8.

Feel free to comment and suggest and y/n as well. I had tried some other jeans from online and was just finding it quite hard without being able to try on a bunch--as when Gap had a store here.
