Outfit lab: new scarf

I have been looking for patterned scarves to brighten up my mostly solid work wear. I happened across one today that seemed perfect. Purple, blue, and pink, all colors that are prominent in my rather minimal wardrobe. An abstract geometric pattern, which I didn’t have yet in a scarf. But it is a bit bright, which will take some adjusting to. I’m wearing a blazer today, and I’m not sure how the scarf looks best with it. Picture 1 is my outfit without the scarf. Picture 2 is how I am currently wearing it. The rest are other options I tried. And the last is a close up of the scarf. What do you like best, or is there another way I should try it out?

A beautiful scarf and great accessory! I think 1-5 work best with the blazer. Maybe 6 (flung over the shoulder) might look better with a sweater instead of a blazer.

Another way to try is a narrow roll and knotting the scarf around your neck - to try without a necklace. Or 3 and put the knot to the side?

What a gorgeous scarf. Sometimes I like to fold them (even long ones like this) into a sort of square/ rectangle and wear it pointing in a sort of V at my neck. This might be hard to see in the photo but that is what I've done below in #1. I'll also wear them sort of rolled in one tighter roll around the neck, with ends dangling. (#2) I have short hair and a long neck so this works well for me and additionally keeps my neck warm! But it hides a necklace like the one you are wearing.

I think it photographs more orange than the pink I see in real life, but now my comment on that blog that I don't have any orange is in question. Thanks both for the suggestions. I think this will be a fun scarf to play with.

The scarf adds a wonderful light to your outfit.

Thanks Barbara! My outfits do tend to look dark. Lightening them up is one of my goals for the coming year.

Really nice scarf! 4 and 5 look good with the blazer and @Suz' triangle fold would suit it as well.
You could also try a very loose version of a Windsor knot, where the knot sits low, leaving the neck open.

Fab scarf. And there a lot of possibilities. My favourites here are your #3 and #6 and Suz' #2.

That scarf is amazing. It adds light and color to your ensemble. I love numbers 2, 4, and 6. Regardless of how you decide to wear it, you can't go wrong with that scarf.

Gorgeous scarf~ I really like number 3 and how you wear it there! When it's just hanging down long, it doesn't look as tidy and pretty~
