Outfit lab - my new statement suit

Hi everyone!
I am thrilled about the revival of suits and the fact that many will wear them also casually as separates, only they will be matching
My newest addition to my suit collection is this striped suit, which I got on deep discount from Escada a couple of months ago. I have not worn it yet and the trousers are not hemmed yet - I think I will hem them a little, but not much as I like my full length to be almost floor sweeping.
Inspired by Angie’s gorgeous new suit and all the suit discussions on the forum , I decided to pull out the suit today and try to style it in slightly different ways. As the suit is quite statementey, I tried to let it take the lead part. Styled it with a white top and a black top and different accessories.
Originally, I fell in love with the blazer and bought the matching trousers also to wear separately, still having the option to wear the set as a suit. And I think I will. The colour is white with black and royal blue stripes.
What do you guys think? I appreciate all feedback and styling suggestions. Thanks for looking!

Wow, that IS an awesome suit and it looks great on you. I love your styling. Depending on how you feel about bright colours, I think you could also get away with a colourful top and or bag when you want variety.

I might agree with the idea of a bit of hemming. I think you want a bit of a break, but not quite so much as you have now, assuming of course, the height of heel you plan to wear with it.

Oh my gosh! So chic! You look FAB! I agree with Kellygirl...much better than the model.

I like all the combos. I have a hard time wrapping my head around dressy pants and sneakers. But that's just me. I've only done it once with a pair of tuxedo striped pants and slip on sneaks.

Your suit reminds me of one I have in my inspiration book that Iman was wearing. If you could find them, a pair of navy pants (same style) with a white tuxedo/track stripe down the side would be a way to mix it up if you ever wanted to down the line.

STUNNING. All your stylings work well. The blue scarf really stands out! I think I like the black top the best with the suit, to my surprise (I would have guessed that the lower contrast white tops would be my favorite). It balances the white of the suit nicely. I think the length works well with the black shoes but you could hem it 1/2” if you prefer.

In person is the blue stripe bluer than in the photos? I had this effect with photos of a gray and blue plaid I posted here recently.

I do love the pants super long, very elegant. Agree suit needs to take center stage, but look how fab with your scarf. April, yes. I like the dark bags with the suit as well.

Dana, thank you for the ideas! I have a pair of dark blue wide legged trousers, and also a black pair. I will definitely try this. It would be great with a white tuxedo stripe, I don’t have such at the moment. Maybe some day I find a pair.

Greyscale and Cardiff girl, I much prefer the black shirt here too. I think it has to do with my own high contrast coloring, I usually need a dark colour somewhere in the outfit to give it some depth. On the model, the white top looks great, I think.

Greyscale, yes, the blue is more “visible”, more blue, in person than in the photos. In the photos, the black is more dominant.

This is a fabulous suit on you. Although all of the versions are good, I’m partial to the black top with black accessories, or the blue version. They are both so dramatic and striking with your dark hair.

I like 1 and 5 the best because I think the addition of saturated colour creates a lovely frame around your face.

I also like hems long, so I wouldn’t take too much off. Just enough to keep it off the floor.

First of all - WOW! Love this suit on you! I see why you like the darker options but I rather like the white with it too. As a matter a fact I would like to see #6 with a white or light bag. That is the extent of my suggestions because your styling is fabulous!

Spectacular! You look so good and so confident in this suit. As someone who came of age in the 60s, I even like the longer hem, but I do recognize that it isn't practical. I envy your ability to wear such a striking outfit and look cool and calm and confident.
