Last time I had a denim jacket in my wardrobe was probably 10 or more years ago. Not exactly HEWI but I tried many over the years. My problem is finding the one that fits across my chest. It usually means I have to size up and then it’s too big in the shoulders. Some styles overwhelmingly big or stiff for my petite frame. But I don’t like fitted jackets either.
I bought this Eileen Fisher one, it has a bit of stretch and not too bad.
I put together some outfits without attempting denim-on-denim look.
Sorry again for some wrinkles, haven’t changed my wardrobe for spring yet.
Do you like any of the outfits? Or I’m grasping here

Yes, this is the t-shirt. Looks a bit dressier with mock neck and wider hemming.

Irina, thoroughly deserved. You make the tee look a lot dressier in person. I love the shape of it! That's the type of warm weather knitted top/sweater silhouette I like to wear too.

Great jacket! Nice wash and the slightly oversized vibe feels current. I like it best open as in #1 and #4, but you could also try it closed with just the top and bottom buttons undone. I often leave the bottommost button open on shirts and jackets to get them to hang the way I want them to.

Oh, I love it! My denim jackets are all fitted and I rarely button them (especially since I am now up a size from when I purchased them -- they still fit in the shoulder but pull across the chest and midsection), so the vibe is really different from this. I kind of love this fit but it probably wouldn't translate as well on my body.

I also want to know about those COS pants in #6.

Janet, I saw this style jackets online and didn’t think it would work for me. But I tried in the store and liked it enough to bring home. So, worth the try.
COS pants are wool, straight, from last year. I think Angie featured them in one of her posts in 2020.

The jacket is a perfect shape and size. #2 outfit is especially cool in my book, and I love the proportions of the Everlane tee.

You’ve nailed it here . Your waiting paid off . This makes the basic fitted denim jackets in my collection look boring and out of date -lol. I really love these Everlane t’s - but I’m scared to order . Just can’t see them looking this good on me .

I really love the jacket in 1, 2, and 6. Something about 4 doesn't work as well, to my eye, though it's admittedly a trendy look!

Jonesy, I agree, maybe pants in #4 have too much volume in the hip area due to darts (folds?).

Dropped shoulders are such a good solution to finessing jacket fit. I especially like #2 but these are all great!

I think it looks really modern and I especially love it open with the white shirt in the first snap ... I think it would look great with the sleeves rolled up or scrunched too.
