I only recently noticed that tucked tops could actually look nice on me. So Brooklyn's outfit creation challenge now seems the perfect occasion to experiment with this silhouette!
The hero of this experience is a safari shirt I recently bought for its soft, silky fabric and utility details. I tried to create three different outfits with it - with different trousers, but always tucked in!
#1 : with black coated bootcuts and sneakers, and a dark floral handbag. A casual, everyday look I could easily wear to run errands or even go to my very casual workplace. After the current crisis, of course...
#2 : with khaki cotton trousers and low-heeled pumps, and a camouflage handbag. I need to have those trousers hemmed (and, sorry, I also need to iron them...), but otherwise I felt really well in this outfit! I will definitely recreate it for a future workday.
#3 : with printed wide-legs and flat sandals, and a leopard handbag. Without this challenge, I would never have thought of pairing the shirt with those trousers - but I think it works!
To sum it up, I really enjoyed this experiment. I had not had fun with my wardrobe for ages, and it was relieving in those stressful times.
Tucking the top made me notice that my trousers often look tight in the hip area despite not feeling tight. But other than that, I do like those looks!
Thank you very much for reading, thank you Brooklyn for the challenge, and thank you all for the community! All comments welcome.
