Outfit - Does this "go"?

I put this on but then changed. Does this top (which is a little on the pinkish side...the color is called "tapicoa") work with these stone-colored pants? It seemed off to me, so I didn't wear it, but I'm wondering if I'm being too picky about matching things?

Also, you can see my new scarlet Aquatalia's peeking out. I've yet to put together some outfits with them but I loved seeing them worn with a skirt in today's post with Phoebe! I am going to try these with my own leather pencil skirt from last year's NAS...

It is hard to say from the screen but usually I don't like to pair warm and cool whites together - like cream with off-white. I am OK with pure white with cream though...

I'm not entirely on board with that color combo, probably because the pants have a cool undertone, like Sveta said. I do love your new haircut wholeheartedly, though.

DJ, that is what gave me hesitation at all...the pants look cool to my eye and I think that's why I didn't like it...if they were a bit more "sand" instead of "stone" it might have worked...le sigh.

I think it's a bit off too Jenava. I have a similarly cool pair of pants and have to mind what tops and shoes I wear them with....

Actually I like the combo. I like mixing white, cream, and gray. I even like the shoes with this outfit, although I think they demand another strong splash of color somewhere on your upper body--jewelry?

Scarlet, I have not wrapped my head around grey and cream together...but I do totally agree with the comment about red needing to be echoed elsewhere in the outfit.

Jenava, nice to know I'm not the only one who is late for work because I went back and changed my outfit!

I am actually liking this. My thought was, and I see others have felt the same, is that some other color is needed to "complete" the look. My initial thought was a slim colored belt?

It looks fine to me, and I am a stickler for not mixing colour palettes. If the blouse didn't have a bow, I would suggest adding a print scarf that had both colours in it; that's always a great way to make two colours play well together.

You look fantastic in that photo, by the way. I mean, wow.

I'm with Scarlet! I think it works really well because 1) you have cool-toned boots under the pants, and 2) the blush is next to your face and it's such a great color for you. And HOLY COW LADY your hair is GORGEOUS, you lovely 1940s creature you. *faints*

I am going to stay out of whether the colors go, because I am not good at that at all. BUT your hair! your blouse! your boots! the trousers! Your hair!
