Outerwear with boilersuit?

I indulged in the boilersuit/jumpsuit trend earlier this year, and have loved wearing mine around the house as a slightly elevated but still really comfy look. Now that temps are up in the Northeast, I have more occasions for safely-distant outdoor gatherings with friends and family, but I've hesitated to wear my jumpsuit out of the house because I'm not sure what to pair it with. Any tips?

I like the idea of utility-on-utility (so one of your two field jackets), I also like the thigh-length puffer (Samsoe), and the Reiss bomber jacket could look really fun - depending on how much contrast you like.

Oh, back to add the wide lapels of your unstructured mac could be fun, too!

I had never thought to add a topper to a boilersuit, but I saw this pic of Irina Shayk and thought it looked so chic!

My first instinct is a wool coat like Angie. From my own closet, that would probably be my caramel cocoon coat. Of course, what I’ve actually worn with my boiler suit is my Puffy, lol

I think pretty much all of your outerwear will work with a denim boilersuit. Your two camel options -- the J Crew topcoat and the Reiss jacket -- look the most exiting to my eye, especially for spring. I bet the drape-y olive coat would be great too.

I like the JCrew coat and the utility jacket (or to be practical the puffer).

I think a casual vibe would be fun, with white sneakers.

I am considering a boilersuit too - I have been wearing my jumpsuit casually and really like it.

Ok, I think I'm going to have to do an Angie-style outfit lab! She's right (of course) about being thoughtful about footwear. Will run some tests and report back.

Lots of your jackets/coats seem like they will work well! If the weather is cooperative, your tan Reiss bomber could be cool. Have you tried a heavyweight cardigan with it? I might be tempted to add some pattern and a different texture into the mix via a topper, so a cardigan could offer that option.

Angie's post is really the best inspiration. I have always found my classic trench to be a no fail option when finding it hard to select a topper.
