Having thought Angie was off to some islands in the Caribbean and not off the coast of Washington state I have just spent the last half an hour reading about the San Juan Islands and add starting to plan another trip to the USA. There are so many places that are little secrets!

We will in fact have some room to travel in the USA some time in the next 12 months as we have an obligation (and desire) to take Vanessa back to NZ to visit grandparents and great-grandparents. The thought of a 26 hour flight without a stopover does not appeal, so we will want to have a stopover somewhere and we will probably want to make a little bit of a trip of it - perhaps 7 days or so.

So, where are those other secret little places that are known to local residents, but not advertised on a national or global scale?
