Sona, you even manage to look fabulous when you fall --- but you poor, poor thing! I'm really wishing you a relatively uneventful life here on out. But meanwhile, should you not be resting up just a bit more? Would you have advised a patient to continue in his work day after a fall like the one you had, just after a surgery too --- or was it not *that* bad objectively speaking? (Must have hurt like the dickens anyway from the description. and 'dizzy, nauseous, headache' sound like an When to Visit the Emergency Room checklist to a lay person like me.)
Guess I'm trying to say, do for yourself what you would advise with your patients' best interests at heart. Yes, your patients need you, doctor --- but you cannot be both doctor and patient, assuredly.
Congratulations to Bebe though. Good to have some great news amidst the rain! Do rest up though, if you must take the trip; or if possible, 'be there' on video call instead.
As Ceit said, exhaustion and meds can play all sorts of havoc with depth perception --- and doubtless you know this yourself. So make sure you're cutting yourself enough slack. You're lucky to have gotten away with bruising and a headache, and you know it!
