I just wanted to take a moment to send an extra good wish to any YLFers, lurkers or regulars, who are missing someone special or otherwise struggling during a time of year when everyone expects you to feel festive. I know how hard it can be, and I'm thinking of you.

Thanks, Janet! Even though I am not missing someone at the moment, there was one Christmas when we had a big scare with a close friend. I always think of that this time of year; the season can sometimes be extra lonely. Hugs to anyone who may not be feeling great right now...

Wow, that's perfect timing for me, Janet. My father died 8 years ago today, and I've just been thinking about him and missing him.

Thank you, Janet. We lost a baby at 32 weeks and almost lost me on Christmas Day two years ago. I'm doing pretty well this season so far, but I really appreciate your consideration.

Very true - so sweet of you to express here. We lost my father-in-law very suddenly the day after Christmas a few years ago, so it's always a bittersweet time...
