I happened to be at my local shopping centre at 11am today (11/11) and the centre piped the Last Post over the PA system. Almost everyone in the mall (and it is a big mall) stood still and observed the minute of silence. I was moved that in this very commercial environment the important things that make us who we are as a nation still counted. I have to admit to holding back tears.
