I know that we have seen some examples of extreme craftiness on this board (Vani's guest room, and Dusty's Anthro inspired dress come to mind). Let's hear what everyone is working on or thinking about- pictures and links especially appreciated.

I'm currently knitting (for the second time now) a lacey shrug, and sewing a paisley print skirt. I haven't done much crafting for the least year or so due to joint problems, but I am really enjoying it, even if I sometimes stiffen up after a bit. I don't have any pictures to share yet, but I will try to take some to post.

I have zero talent when it comes to crafts, but am truly humbled by people who possess the patience and creative ability to spin gold from straw. I've always had this dream about being able to sew my own clothes, but since something as small as sewing a lost button back onto a jacket upsets and frustrates me to no end, it will have to remain a dream so I can keep my blood pressure down. I will leave the crafting and construction of beautiful garments to more capable hands such as yours, Chewy!

I need to refinish my kitchen table which my dad made for me about 18 years ago. It's seen quite it's share of wear and tear over the years with 4 boys! Gotta set aside a week to get that done!

I'm not very crafty and I'm a terrible cook, but I'm doing a fair amount of old-house restoration this summer. And I'm taking a brick restoration class next summer. That'll count, right?

Well, I'm always cooking, but I really want to do another sewing project. I may do a dress like Dusty's with some tanks I have.

I bought a box of silk mens ties at a garage sale, washed them, and took them apart to use the silk for a patch work quilt of some kind. I need many more silk ties though.

I am currently altering some skirts and pants and jacket sleeves on a boyfriend jacket...also my bra straps as per Maya's suggestion.:)

All of my crafts lately are wedding related. I made the invitations for our engagement party and our save the dates. Next on my list is making the out of town gift baskets.

Oh, goodness, I have so many projects in the wings, I don't even know what to do next!

I have the fabric prepped for a sleeveless black and white tunic, a couple of dressed I've purchased fabric for, a necklace, table runners for my kitchen, a new seat for the recumbent bike my DH bought the other day, a skirt that belonged to my Grandma that I want to redo in my size (it's probably 50's vintage), a bunch of clothes and some dolls for the princess, curtains for Mokey's bed (DH built him a pirate shack bed for his second birthday).....

Oh, and I want to try making a quilt.

Does tearing down a wall count? That's what I'm doing this weekend!

Last weekend I got the sewing machine out and did some alterations. It felt good to take a few pairs of pants from decent to great!

I made some pickles. I am learning to sew; I made some cushion covers recently but am casting about for my next project. Maybe a skirt?

Kristine, Is there an easy way to alter the waist for a pair of pants?

I am always either doing a project or thinking about one. Now we are renovating our kitchen - does it count? I was designing a layout...
Last summer we built a paved path from the driveway to the front door and landscaped the front yard (no grass anymore!)

Given that I am lucky if I manage to sew a button on a shirt I am amazingly wowed by the abilities of others on this forum. Don't forget Ele's refurbished chairs!

I can cook and bake - this week I am thinking about what I am going to cook for dessert on Friday night when we are going around to a friend's house for dinner. We are off to the market later on this morning, and there is always inspiration there!

Right now our kitchen table is covered with guitar repairing stuff, but once my guy gets that cleaned up I have a whole lot of sewing to get to! I have some shirts, bermudas, and clam-diggers to modify, and some skirts, shirts, and dresses to make! I'm very much looking forward to it!

I'm also currently knitting a basket that will store some of my crafting stuff, and I really need to use up some of my yarn stash this summer.

Elpgal, you can alter the waist, but to do it correctly you'll need to take that whole area apart. Usually it means removing the waistband from the pants and adjusting. If you post pictures we'll give you help, but honestly it's probably not an easy job so I'd take it to a tailor. If you need them smaller you can sometimes cheat and just nip them in a little if it isn't visible.

I love to knit but I just don't have the time, and I am a total clutz with a sewing machine. I like to make jewelry, too, but again, that's a bit of a time investment. So when I'm feeling crafty I break out the hot glue gun. Here is my latest bunch of flower pins:

I don't do a lot of personal craft projects these days. I'm into large group projects. We have another one starting next week where I get to do all manner of things. Painting, sewing (hand sewing the machine still scares me) furniture refinishing and who knows what else. Our theatre is beginning our summer production of Guys & Dolls. I get to work under the tutelage of 3 amazing women: our costumer, scenic artist and props mistress. They let me help in creating some of the most amazing things.

I do really love to sew, but find that whilst I like sewing, I HATE the "getting things to fit" aspect - no pattern in existence ever fits me well So, I have an enormous pile of things that are started but don't fit, try to alter then a few times, and then I get the sulks and get annoyed so stop working on the project and never seem to get back to it. And I hate wasting all my precious fabric.

I've approached a local dressmaker about making some basic patterns for me and I'm still deciding if I should do that or not. I would love to be able to draft my own patterns that would fit perfectly, but there's nowhere to learn locally any more. (Years ago there were a tonne of places!)

Tanya, for a minute there, I thought we shared the same mom. My mother was always bemoaning the fact that I never learned to knit, crochet or sew, and she used to send me these lumpy, bumpy sweaters she knitted that were big enough for a linebacker to wear--I think in hopes of encouraging me to learn. But then I clicked on your link and your photos dispelled any comparison. What lovely tops! Your mom is a crafty chick indeed!

I just finished two baby quilts and need to finish a another one.
Right now I'm framing some pictures for our bedroom. I had bought some prints years ago and never framed them.

My latest craft is a tiny stuffed felted wool sea turtle for my son. The sea turtle is in progress but here is a picture of a bunny, some mice and little man he asked me to make:
