I read about this happening in Scotland on the news, how bizarre! Have you got much snow? We had a sprinkling on Saturday and some more is threatened for tonight. I love snow it makes the cold worthwhile, my puffer is earning it's keep this week!! x

We had snow here in Ireland during the weekend. It was great fun going out cycling on snowy trails.

Julie, we had a storm like that in this area in the early 1990s -- it really felt like Armageddon!

We call them thunder snows in Kansas. Just so you don't get tornados too!

Wow, that sounds really bizarre!!!

I would love to see images of that!!

(Although this is coming from someone who knows about lightening, but nothing at all about snowing LOL).

Wow! Weather like that is so unusual.... Thunder follows the lightning right?...Loud thunder is scary for me:) But I live in mild California..it never even snow where I live.

It rarely snows here but I can't imagine lightening with snow. Stay safe and warm.

Joy, thank you for putting a name to the phenomenon.

Louise, we woke to a foot of snow on Saturday and it hasn't stopped since, last night we measured 20" which is higher than the shaft of my snow boots :-(. I guess the next few days will be sartorially challenging.
