OT: Oh no! Any ideas for getting ink out of a shirt?

I was wearing a woven shirt today at work and ended up getting black ballpoint ink right on the front. Surely one of you fab ladies has a tried and true trick to getting ink out. Right?

Spray with aerosol hairspray, rub gently till the ink disappears, then launder as usual.

Make sure you blot it over and over again with a new part of a paper towel to remove the ink and not just move it around. And have patience while you do that, because it might take a long time.

oh yes, I should have said that this isn't a quick process... you need to blot until all the ink is gone.
ask me about the time my ink cartridge leaked all over my carpet ;-/ I was up all night blotting...

I used rubbing alcohol (didn't have any hairspray handy) and it worked like a charm! I knew you all would come through. Thanks!

Yay! I see that you already got it out, but another solution to keep in mind: POWDERED dishwasher detergent works like a charm, as well. Don't use the liquid--I bleached the heck out of a shirt one time that way. Anyway, mix the powder with some water to make a kind of paste. I lifts that ink right out. Then launder as usual.
