OT: My new fave mascara - What's Yours?

I've tried quite a few mascaras over the last couple of months and I've found this Revlon one to be very good. It has a long wand, substantial brush and it doesn't clump. Care to share your favourite?

I have used that Revlon and agree it was a good one (and I typically don't like the big brush).

My all time favorite is Maybelline Lash Discovery followed by Maybelline Full and Soft.
Clinique Naturally Glossy is similar and also a fave.

I'm a Blinc fan. I have very sensitive watery eyes, regular mascaras give me Panda eyes, if I wear waterproof I need heavy duty eye make up remover which would make my eyes sore! Blinc comes off with warm water I just wet a wash cloth moisten my lashes then gently 'pull' the mascara off. It lasts for at least 12 hours without smudging or budging x

Is the Maybelline lash discover still available? I would like to try that. I haven't tried Clinique mascaras for years, as I recall they were quite pricey? Louise, I haven't heard of Blinc, I wonder if they're available in Australia. I have the same trouble removing waterproof makeup too.

I'd always used just any cheapo mascara but in recent years my lashes are not as, well, lush, as they used to be and anything clumpy looks dreadful.

I love that BLinc doesn't come off until you rub it off, but I'm still having difficulty applying it properly - any tips?
I like Bobbi Brown No smudge for everyday, but I need waterproof in summer and on weekends. Covergirl lashblast is good for drugstore, but for really doing it up I go with Lancome.

I'm actually wearing no mascara today - for the first time in years! I'm finding that several brands seem to be irritating my eyes so am going without for a while until I find one that doesn't drive me crazy.

My fav is kinda of hard to find. So far it seems to be only sold at Ulta. It's Prestige "My Blackest Lashes" or "My Fullest Lashes" (i love them both.)

Here's why:

I have long lashes (but sparse) and deep set eyes. A LOT of really great mascaras end up transferring onto my brow bone because of this, not a good look. I really like the dolly eyed - clumpy mascara look as opposed to natural.

So maybe that helps anyone with eyes like mine?

If i didn't have deep set eyes i would choose L'Oreal Voluminous. That mascara is AMAZING. But it's always ended up on my brow bone when i've tried to wear it.

For the last several years, I've sworn by CoverGirl Remarkable washable waterproof mascara. It stays on until I wash it off, yet it washes off with regular cleanser. I wear the brownish black color, which looks better on me than black.

Jjsloane I apply mine just like normal mascara, 1-2 quick coats then comb through with a tweezerman mascara comb to remove any bobbly bits. You have to be quite quick as it dries fast. Not sure if thats any help?

Soobee I did a quick Google search and found it here http://www.adorebeauty.com.au/.....scara.html it works out about £4 more than I pay here in the UK, though I think someone else said things are a bit more expensive in oz :-(((

TransconaShannon I had the same problem with mascaras and sensitive eyes I can whole heartedly recommend Blinc I've had no eye irritation or soreness since using it and I can wear it all day with no flakes in my eyes. I used to get swollen, sore itchy eyes with many mascaras x

I have heard from friends in Australia that some US drugstore brands are nearly as pricey as department store brands. Is that still true?

Mascara is one of those things like facial cleanser or makeup remover that I don't like to spend a lot on. I do toss mine every couple months (and cleansers just don't stay on your skin long enough for truly expensive ingredients to benefit you imho) so price is important.

I love the rubbery brush on Lash Blast. Right now my go to is Tarte Lights Camera Lashes, but I am always tempted to use the Lash Blast brush.

I am really satisfied with Lancôme hypnose, but I plan to try some cheaper ones maybe from Loreal next to see how it goes.

I used to use Maybelline Great Lash but developed an allergy to it.

Now I will second Nicole's vote for L'Oréal Voluminous. It stays on (a rarity it seems, for me) and yet comes off easily when it is time to take it off. And makes my short and none too thick lashes look at least presentable.

I like Kanebo Sensai 38* mascara. I have always the problem of mascara transferring under my eyes (not nice!), but Kanebo stays put. I'd like to try Diors New look and Armani too, they're on my list

Has anyone tried the lash extending mascaras that deposit fibers onto the lashes and make them appear fuller and longer? I talked to someone who had one from Avon on the other day, and she said it made her lashes longer than when she wore false eyelashes - and looked great (I just met her, so couldn't compare before/after). I guess that one is $15, but I know I've seen drugstore brands advertised similarly, and have become curious about trying one.

I've been using the Covergirl Exact Eyelights for brown eyes which is black with tiny silver flakes (my eyes are almost black too, heh). My lashes are naturally really dark so the pigment really only darkens the ends(I only wear it on the top), and the silver bits seem to soften my eyes up a little. I can't stand clumping and like having my lashes as separated and fanned as possible, so I apply thinly and slowly to build it up with a heavy focus on the outsides (think 50s).

Christieanne is right about Australia. This is why I buy my cosmetics online, for half to a third of what I pay here even taking shipping into account!

I only use tubing mascaras. So far I've tried Blinc and Becca, and I like both; Becca looks a bit more va-voom, but Blinc stays on better (does what it says on the packet; my Becca came off when me yes got irritated at the pool - it comes off in little eyelash shaped tubes which must have looked odd indeed!).
