We got back from our little trip late last night, and I am just about recovered (three suitcases unpacked, two loads of laundry done, and an imminent trip to the grocery store looming LOL)
It was really nice to get away for a few days- no animals, no cooking, and no 6:30 am alarm. We really didn't get a chance to do much fun stuff- between the things my family had planned, the dance competition that my daughter was in, and coordinating with my husband's schedule so that we could eat dinner with him when he had a break from his conference. The weather was nice and the kids got to swim in the pool, and we spent a couple of hours at a kids science museum (where my husband had WAY more fun than the kids). The competition was really well run- we saw some great little dancers, and the girls did really well in their performance and all got a little medal. The pictures with my family turned out well, and I am looking forward to getting them back. My son coped well with all of the stuff that he was forced to do and didn't really want to. The animals all survived, and I came home to two packages- a new yoga mat/carry bag and a pair of harem pants. (Is there a theme to that?)
All in all- it was a great trip!
