Louise, I have seen ads in the back pages of UK Goodhousekeeping for dipping the shoes...it's really special, you can choose brass or silver. I had these done in Holland via a jeweller.
MPJ, I had an itch to redo this space, as the silver and black headress that was there looks better near my made-over sofa. I spent an afternoon moving pictures around and decided on this poster in an Ikea frame, then collected bits from around the house as per Maria's suggestions: books, candles, and flowers (I'm missing a tray). The only new thing I bought was the hurricane lamp, which I have been lusting after for some time :)...and I love it.
Laura, I love turquise....I am trying to wear it more often, too!
