I think my favorite is #2 Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. Kate's would be second by a bit and #3 Princess Matte-Marit of Norway a close third. Had Pippa's dress been in the group, I would have ranked it above a few of these five too.

It's interesting to see how the trends have changed from the ornate and adorned to the clean and serene.

I have to say Princess Grace is my winner and still champion. Followed by Kate, and then Crown Princess Mary.

Still Grace Kelly, closely followed by Kate, now the Duchess of Cambridge!

My favourite wedding (not that I've watched all of these) was Crown Princess Mary's - even Crown Prince Frederick shed a tear!

Elisabeth, that is a lovely gown! And I love how her attendants matched her!

This isn't a royal gown, but I also just loved Ivanka Trump's lace-sleeved gown, which also drew a lot of comparisons to Princess Grace: http://www.preownedweddingdres...../trump.jpg

Thanks for playing along. I'm with you dian, Janet, patty, QM, I thought Princess Mary made an absolutely beautiful & radiant bride but I'm not sure if I'm biased because I have followed her closely (given she is an Aussie) & I think she is a really lovely person. I also loved her flowers. Next for me is #5 I think , I love the simplicity of Princess Maxima.'s dress. Followed by #6 & #1.

Angie, I was pretty sure your fav would be Princess Grace :-). MaryK, Lynne, & modgirl you are in good company with Angie.

Lynne, I agree the Mary & Fredericks wedding was beautiful to watch.

Princess Grace had such a beautiful face that the dress is secondary. But, I do like Marie-Chantal of Greece's dress. It's got a 60s integrity to it that makes it very different.

In MHO Queen Elizabeth 2nd's wedding gown was lovely with gorgeous detail and a pretty train. I think she looked beautiful.
