Hi, all. Sorry I'm not on here cheering on your fab outfits and purchases. It's been busy and I hope to get back into it (and I've been dressing not very fab-ly these days myself.)
But anyhow, we live right in a neighborhood of Boston and with the warm weather there's been some noise problems. For Hubby, it's people loitering and talking loudly out on the street outside our place (which somehow doesn't bother me too much, unless it's really loud), but for me it's the high-pitched whine of an air conditioner compressor across the street behind a fast-food restaurant. It goes on and off constantly. I don't know if there's any machine that will drown it out successfully, but it would be great to know if you've tried something that works. Police around here are jaded about noise complaints (because it's Boston, and they have murders and stuff to take care of), and a neighbor thinks the compressor would probably not be considered noisy enough to force the City to come down on the building owner.
Thanks for your input. Yawn.
