OT- I just paid off my credit card!!!

SO excited- I (stupidly) got myself into quite a bit of credit card debt while at university. I took a part time job at the beginning of the year and devoted the money to paying off my credit card- 4.5 months later and the balance is $0.00.

I'm soooo relieved.

And the best thing- I have money ready to spend at NAS too

This is really important. I know how easy it is to rack up debt, especially while in school, and how hard it is to pay it off. Congratulations!!

Yay! Nicely done! Credit cards still scare the bejeebers out of me. I finally broke down and got a Target credit card - haha, oh the damage that can be done at the store!

I NEVER use my credit card. Too paranoid about accumulating debt. I know so many people who start out with a small amount that just snowballs out of control, and I don't want to be one of those people. But I recently did use it to get my computer because my check hadn't cleared and I needed to buy it before the discount I had expired. I thought I'd pay it off as soon as I got my next paycheck, but one thing after another kept coming up, and it's just sitting there on my card, un-paid-off, and freaking me out. Next paycheck I SWEAR I will pay it off! I hope I feel the relief you do!

Megan -- that is huge. Good for you! I am an extremely firm practitioner of the "pay it off every month" rule, and I live in fear of accumulating debt. It's a good fear to have, I think.
