Mac, I agree, super-casual doesn't bother me either, unless there is a body part hanging out but the thought of having to explain to my little ones " what does that mean, mama ? " really upsets me.
Sparky, I think that either way, it was awful. If my babysitter or friend or family member took my child out with that across their bum, I would be mortified. Do we give special dispensation for young and trying to be witty ? That is actually very interesting to think about....I wore some really stupid things when I was young, but I would have been mortified to even be seen with someone wearing something like that. When I was in jr. high, if your bra straps showed, you were a slut.
Would I have even noticed if it were a young man with an offensive, sexist t-shirt ? Men's offensive t-shirts and bumper stickers have been around for decades - but I find this with girls/women to be more recent ? Is this feminism ?
