OT: I have just graduated!

Hi All,

I have just defended my thesis and graduated! From today on I have my PhD degree. It took forever but I think it was worth it.

I am off to salsa dancing to celebrate.

Thank you all for being such sweet and supportive friends over the past (almost) two years!

It seems like only few days ago when you mentioned your decision to speed up your dissertation process (if I remember correctly). Only I'm sure it didn't feel so fast to you at all. How wonderful, Tanya! I have found that life after grad school is ever so much sweeter because after such a long time, you can finally live without a million things hanging over your head. I hope it's the same for you!

And, selfishly -- I'm sure I'm not alone on YLF in wondering whether you might now have the time to begin occasionally posting photos again? (Hope, hope...)

Aww, thank you all for all the kind words, you are the best!

RoseandJean, yes, I feel like I need to sleep for a week, but I can only do it for a day (today), since I have to deal with corrections and lot of paperwork an then get myself back into the lab.

MariannaCecile, it took about 7.5 years, but that's because I have switched advisors after first 1.5 years. I have been working on my thesis project for 6 years.

April, I am also looking forward to posting photos again. Here are random three form this summer when I actually remembered to take them:
